Meet Anushka Gehi.
An Atlanta estate planning attorney with deep roots in federal benefits law — drawn to the quieter, more human corners of practice, where the work unfolds best with patience and trust.
Anushka Gehi is an Atlanta-based estate planning attorney who built her private practice alongside a long career in federal law. Her clients come to her with real questions about family, home, and what they want to leave behind — and she listens first, drafts second.
Alongside her private practice, Anushka serves as an attorney with the U.S. Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration. For more than seventeen years, she has investigated and enforced the federal laws that govern retirement plans, health insurance, and employee benefits — ERISA, HIPAA, the Affordable Care Act, and the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act. Her enforcement work has helped recover millions of dollars for plan participants and their beneficiaries.
That background gives her private clients an unusual advantage. Estate plans touch nearly every one of those systems: retirement account beneficiary designations, employer-sponsored life insurance, HSA balances, plan fiduciary designations. Having spent years on the regulator’s side of the table, Anushka knows where planning quietly breaks down under real-world pressure — and what careful drafting can do to prevent it.
She founded her estate planning practice in January 2025 to bring that same depth of expertise into a quieter, more personal setting. Her goal is straightforward: make estate planning simple, approachable, and genuinely shaped to your life — not a template.
Walking alongside clients facing illness.
Having come through cancer herself, Anushka holds a particular compassion for clients and families navigating serious illness — their own, a spouse’s, a parent’s, a child’s. She understands that when life narrows to treatment schedules and hospital hallways, the last thing anyone has energy for is legal paperwork.
For clients in active treatment, she’ll come to you — at home, by video, or by phone — work around your schedule, and keep the process as gentle as the subject matter allows.
What you can expect.
